Every Eighth Employee at Murrelektronik was a Trainee
At Murrelektronik, our apprentices and trainees receive exceptional educations. For the second time in a row, Murrelektronik has been distinguished with the Best Place to Learn award. The family-owned company from Oppenweiler has been awarded the certificate for offering young professionals an especially valuable educational experience. Murrelektronik is proud that the certification involved both current and former trainees in the evaluation. The certificate is awarded by AUBI-Plus, the training experts of the young professional recruiters AUBI-Plus.
The quality of Murrelektronik's training and apprenticeship programs was analyzed and evaluated during the certification process. 71 criteria were included: from the conception and leadership of the training programs to the vocational learning and even the skills of the teachers and the overall workplace health management. After analyzing the current status, new ideas and proposals for improvement were developed. The fact that the input came directly from young professionals involved in the training makes the results exceptionally significant. The welcoming culture, the highly-skilled instructors and the hiring-rate of 100 percent were highlighted as some of the best aspects of Murrelektronik's program.
Training and Apprenticeship Programs to Fill Future Jobs
Murrelektronik was the first company in their region to be awarded the certificate of approval in 2015. Murrelektronik Director of Human Resources, Harald Merk, is pleased about the renewed honor and says: “We decided to apply for the certification process a second time because we wanted to know where our strengths and weaknesses are in our training and apprenticeship programs so that we can improve in the future.” The education of young professionals is important to Murrelektronik and targeted towards their future jobs. “The outstanding quality of the training programs opens doors for our young professionals so that they can have a successful start in their careers at our company.”
Dagmar Differenz, the Manager of Training at Murrelektronik, says: “Every eighth employee at Murrelektronik went through the trainee and apprenticeship program, which shows the high value Murrelektronik places on their young professionals. The Best Place to Learn seal of approval gives us the feeling that we are doing an excellent job in many aspects of the educational programs.” She hopes this gives Murrelektronik the extra edge needed when it comes to competing for hiring young professionals.
For Caroline Hafner Pinnel, Shareholder and Representative of the Owner Family, the quality seal is an important indication for graduates and their parents: “This certification makes it clear that young professionals receive an outstanding education and training, and it provides an excellent foundation for the beginning of their career."
Murrelektronik continuously has around 50 trainees and apprentices enrolled in their programs. By combining the synergy of both theory and practice, the students take their first steps in their professional life as future industrial managers, electronic engineers for devices and systems, professionals for warehousing and logistics, IT specialists and graphic designers as well as dual study concepts for electrical engineers, computer science and the industrial engineering.
